EAD10/DSU50 Swivel Buddy

The Yamaha EAD10 & DSU50 mics are designed to clip onto the front rim of your kick drum, but sometimes that's not possible due to obstructions. Or, maybe you want to use it as an overhead mic or room mic and thus need to move it off of the kick drum. Yamaha made an excellent product which works great most of the time when on your kick, but it can get blown out by your ride cymbal or depending on the size of your kit may just lose some coverage and thus moving it up and overhead is the best solution.  (Or even just shifting it a little to the left or right but far enough that you can't keep it on the kick.) Yamaha almost got it perfect with the DSU50 as it is a much more refined unit than the EAD10's module, but it still misses some points.
While the DSU50 does have threads on the bottom to mount to a mic stand, not only are those 3/8" and not always easy to find in the US (and many places in the world so you still need an adapter) they don't give you the flexibility to angle the unit down to where you want it since it's screwed onto a boom arm.  This clip gives you the ability to really dial in the placement where you want it without having to compromise.

We offer a clip for the EAD10 and another for the DSU50, both of which work great for most applications however, if you need to place your stand off to the side and boom in, this clip will let you swivel the clip a full 180 degrees to give you the flexibility to aim the module exactly where you need it. This clip will also allow you to mount either the EAD10 module or the DSU50 module so it's the perfect all-around solution. (There will be a little extra space in the opening if you're mounting the EAD10 module as it's not as tall as the DSU50.)
But the cool thing about this (other than the swivel feature) is that you can use it with the EAD10 or the DSU50 so if you still have an EAD10 but are looking to upgrade to the EAD50 down the road you won't need to buy another clip.

This 3d printed custom clip is printed out of PETG and is solid as hell. The mic stand adapter is a standard clip and will work on any mic stand with the 5/8" thread pattern. I've only made them in black but if you want a different color (of the clip part, the mic stand base part will always be black) let me know and if I have the filament I'll print it.
There is an option above to add an adapter that screws into the base that will adapt it for use on most "modern" cymbal stands. (8mm thread) You can purchase multiples HERE if you need these for other mic clips you may have.

BUT if you don't need the swivel feature and want to save a few bucks I still sell the original EAD10 mic clip HERE if you want that one.  (The EAD10 clip will NOT fit the DSU50 as the clamping mechanism is larger on the DSU50.)
