Beltpack Buddy - V-Mount Upgrade Kit

Upgrade kit for the Beltpack Buddy to convert the mounting system from the original TPU bracket to the current V-Mount bracket to allow use with the seat-mount bracket.  This kit contains an adapter plate with the V-Mount clamp attached and a V-Mount receiver to replace the PETG "clip" on the clamp arm. These are made to order so send an email if you need one.  The original units came in black or green (and there are a handful of custom ones out there as well) so you'll need to specify your color.

Instructions:
You would remove the two M5 screws that attach the TPU piece to the back of the BP Buddy (make sure to get the lock washers out of the holes.) Then using the same screws you would attach the conversion plate to the BP Buddy so that the large opening of the "V" is facing down and the latch is on the right.  

Then loosen the jam nut and then unscrew the PETG clip from the end of the clamp arm shaft.  You will probably need to hold the shaft with a pair of pliers as there is probably Loctite on the threads. I recommend removing the clamp as well since you will need to re-level it at the end of the procedure.

Clean the threads on both ends with a wire brush and then reapply Loctite (243 is the best if you have it) to one end and thread the V-Mount onto the shaft.  I recommend attaching the V-mount pieces together and then threading the shaft in and then back it out 1/4 turn or so to prevent the shaft from binding on the clamp.  Then tighten the jam nut against the V-mount plate.

Now you can add Loctite to the other end and reattach the clamp.  Spin it until it starts getting a little tight and then level everything.  (Clamp it to a stand and set a level on the BP Buddy to make your life easier.) Once it's level you can tighten the jam nut against the clamp.
