The Beltpack Buddy is a place to clip your IEM or wireless mic beltpacks while you're playing so they're not weighing down your pants. There's even a slot inside that will fit a 1/4" headphone jack so if you use a wired IEM or headphones you can plug them into the cable and then insert it into the slot and let the Buddy take the weight so it's not constantly tugging on your ears. The unit is wide enough to fit two beltpacks so if you're using an IEM & a wireless mic you've got a place to put them both.
There are several similar products on the market designed to hold your belt pack or manage your cable, however they all permanently attach to the underside of your drum throne. If you're playing multiple kits you're going to need multiple products, one for each drum throne and of course if you're playing a show or venue with a backline kit you're out of luck.
That's where this device stands out. The Beltpack Buddy attaches to the center support shaft of your throne with an adjustable clamp and then extends it to the edge of the seat for easy access AND easy removal. That way you can take it with you and use it on someone else's kit, a backline kit, a studio or club kit or switch it between your own kits. The Buddy itself has a quick-release mount on it to allow you to pop it off of the shaft so if you don't have to figure out how to safely store an oddly-shaped "thing" in your stand case. The clamp and shaft can stay attached to your throne or you can easily pop it off as well. The clamp can attach to the center shaft on pretty much any drum throne on the market OR you can clamp the unit to a stand if desired.
But for those of you who would rather "permanently" attach this to the bottom of your throne we have an option for you as well as you can purchase this with the clamp mount listed above OR with a seat-mount bracket that will screw onto your throne. (Bonus: If you play a Roc 'n Soc throne (and don't use the backrest) you can attach this right into the threaded mounting holes Roc 'n Soc uses for the backrest!) The cool thing about this mounting bracket is that it has a receiver on it to allow you to still utilize the quick-release mechanism to remove the Beltpack Buddy.
You can purchase the Beltpack Buddy either way: with the clamp or with the seat-mount and then if desired you can purchase an extra clamp mount HERE or seat mount HERE to give you the ultimate flexibility to use on multiple thrones without having to purchase multiple Beltpack Buddies.
The page will default to the pricing with the Crab Clamp Arm mount. If you already have a Beltpack Buddy w/ a clamp and are just purchasing another one in a different color or something click the "No Clamp" option and it'll take the cost of the clamp off. (Note it WILL still come with the V-Mount adapter so you can use it with your existing clamp.)
*The TPU quick release mechanism has been changed over to a new, aluminum "V-Mount Quick Release" mechanism. So if you have one of the originals with the TPU mounting system you can purchase an upgrade kit here as well. (Note: Some of the pictures will show the original TPU mounting method so just know that this has been replaced with the V-Mount mechanism.)
